Pantherfest 10/5

Pantherfest -Delta

?Friday, 10/05/18

 

? Pantherfest will be held at Confluence Park in Delta (Regionals Course)

 

? The team will leave Telluride High School at 7:00am on Friday, 10/05/18.

We will be pulling away at 7:00am sharp, so please have students here at 6:45am. There will be a Placerville pick-up, but the athlete must tell us by Thursday.

 

? The Varsity Girls will kick off the meet at 10:00am, then the Varsity Boys 10:45am, Middle School Girls at 11:30am and Middle School boys at Noon. Followed by Awards.

 

? Since this is the last Middle School Meet, we will be taking kiddos to the Rec Center for a pool party. (This will be free of charge to the students). We will be at the Rec Center until 3:00pm.

 

? Weather forecast is rainy with a high of 66 and a low of 41. There is a 40% chance or precipitation and winds up to 10mph. It could be a chilly day, so be sure to bring sweats and a raincoat. If you are planning on wearing leggings or a shirt under your uniform it must be solid black!

 

? For race day – bring water, sports drinks, and snacks.

We will be making a quick City Market stop on the way home.

 

? If students do not wish to go to the Rec Center, we will be offering a ride home at 1:00pm and should be back around 3:00pm. For students that do want to go to the Rec Center we will leave at 3:00pm and will be back around 5:00pm. Students will call from Montrose.

Sweitzer Lake Delta

?Friday, 9/28/18

 

? The Delta Sweitzer Lake Invitational will be held at Sweitzer Lake State Park, Turn-off just south of Delta on HWY 50. If you plan on joining us, know that there is a $7 parking fee per car.

 

? The team will leave Telluride High School at 7:00am on Friday, 9/28/18.  We will be pulling away at 7:00am, so please try to have your child here by 6:45am. If you are planning on being picked up Down Valley please be there at 7:15am.

 

? The High School Girls will kick off the meet at 10:00am, the High School Boys will follow at 10:45am, Middle School Girls will race at 11:30am, Middle School Boys at Noon. After the races there will be awards and then we will start our journey home.

 

? Weather forecast is sunny with a high of 87 and a low of 50.  Winds up to 11mph and a 20%. It could be chilly in the morning so be sure to bring sweats. If you are planning on wearing leggings or a shirt under your uniform it must be solid black!

 

? It is a long day – bring water, sports drinks, snacks, and lunch for the meet. We are not planning on any food stops.

 

? The team will depart the meet around 1:00pm. We expect to be back around 3:30-4:00pm. We will have the students call when we are leaving the course to make a plan for pick up. We can drop them off at Placerville.

? The meet will be located at Snooks Bottom Open Space, 1051 Kingsview Road 

 

? The team will leave Telluride High School at 6:30am on Saturday, 9/22/18.  We will be pulling away at 6:30, so please try to have your child here by 6:15am.

 

? The Boys will kick off the meet at 10:00am and the Girls will follow directly after at 10:30am. Awards will be handed out around 12:00pm and then we will start our journey home.

 

? Weather forecast is sunny a high of 87 and a low of 58.  Winds 5-10mph. It will be chilly on the way there in the morning so be sure to wear sweats. If you are planning on wearing leggings or a shirt under your uniform it must be solid black!

 

? It is a long morning bring water, sports drinks, and snacks. We are planning on stopping at City market for lunch on the way home.  

 

? The team will depart the meet around 12:30pm. We expect to be back around 3:30pm-4:00pm. We will have the students call from Montrose to make a plan for pick up.

Gunnison Mountaineer Cowboy Invitational

?Saturday, 9/15/18

 

? The Mountaineer Invitational will be held at Gunnison Middle School on the Van Tuyl trail system

 

? The team will leave Telluride High School at 5:30am on Saturday, 9/15/18.  We will be pulling away at 5:30, so please try to have your child here by 5:15am.

 

? The Middle School Boys will kick off the meet at 9:00am and the Middle School Girls will follow directly after at 9:30am. We will then have the opportunity to watch the College teams run. At 11:15 the High School Boys will run and the High School Girls will follow at 11:45. Awards will be handed out at 12:30pm and then we will start our journey home.

 

? Weather forecast is sunny a high of 78 and a low of 42.  Winds 5-10mph. It will be chilly on the way there in the morning so be sure to wear sweats. If you are planning on wearing leggings or a shirt under your uniform it must be solid black!

 

? It is a long day bring water, sports drinks, snacks, and lunch for the meet. We are not planning on stopping for lunch since we will have so many kids with us.

Grand Junction Tiger Invitational

?Friday, 9/07/18

 

? The Tiger Invitational will be held at Canyon View Park in Grand Junction.

 

? The team will leave Telluride High School at 12:10pm on Friday, 9/07/18.  Students will be dismissed from class at 12:00pm.

 

? The girls will kick off the meet at 5:30pm and the boys will follow directly after at 6:00pm. Awards will follow after the boys race and then we will start our journey home.

 

? Weather forecast is mostly sunny with a high of 89 and a low of 61.  Winds 5-10mph. It will be chilly on the way home, be sure to bring sweats.

 

? Remember to bring water, sports drinks, and snacks for the meet. The athletes will also need to pack/or bring money for a City Market stop on the way there for lunch and on the way back for dinner.

 

? The team will depart the meet around 7:00pm. We expect to be back around 10:30pm-11:00pm. We will have the students call from Montrose to make a plan for pick up.

Introduction to High School Cross Country 8/6-8/10

Since CHASA bumped up the fall practice schedule we have decided to use our extra week as an introduction to our High school cross country program. This is an optional week of practice for any athletes that are looking to familiarize themselves with the program or to get a start on their training. We will meet at the High school at 8am and be done by 9:30am at the latest. 

Our regular practices will begin on August 13th. We will practice from 3:30-5:00pm Monday-Friday.

Cross Country

State Championships

?Saturday, 10/27/18

 

? States will be held at Norris Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs. 

 

? The team will leave Telluride High School at 9:00am on Friday (They are excused from all classes Friday), 10/26/18.  We will stay overnight in Colorado Springs at Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton. 

 

? The girls will compete at 12:20pm and the boys will run at 1:40pm

 

? Weather forecast is mostly sunny with a high of 70 and a low of 37.  Winds 5-10mph. Based on the weather forecast, athletes should make sure to bring layers just in case.

 

? It is a long day – bring water, sports drinks, and snacks for the meet. The athletes will also need money for lunch/dinner Friday, breakfast for Saturday (or they can eat what the hotel offers), and lunch/dinner Saturday. We will do a quick stop for dinner on our way home Saturday.

 

? The team will depart the meet around 2:30-3:00pm. We expect to be back around 9:30pm-10:00pm. We will have the students call from Montrose to make a plan for pick up.

? Regionals will be held at Confluence Park in Delta

 

? The team will leave Telluride High School at 9:00am on Friday, 10/19/18.

We will be doing a team meeting at 8:30am, meet in the Palm Lobby.

 

? The Varsity Girls will kick off the meet at Noon and then the Varsity Boys will follow at 12:30pm.
