The Telluride High School athletic department would like to thank girls’ soccer coaches Kelly Schuler and Ramon Rodriguez for the tremendous amount of time, effort, energy and service to the team. Coach Schuler and Coach Rodriguez have made the difficult decision to step away from coaching the girls’ soccer team and refocusing their commitment to spend time with their families during this, and future, spring seasons.
We would like to thank Coach Schuler for all her years of service to both the boys and girls soccer teams. In her coaching roles for THS soccer teams, Coach Schuler has helped account for an overall combined record of 76-51-6 with the boys and girls teams and assisted both teams in making the playoffs 7 out of 9 seasons. She has helped set both programs up for success well into the future. The growth of the program and character of our athletes during her time is appreciated and we are forever grateful for what Coach Schuler has accomplished with our student-athletes in both the boys’ and girls’ soccer programs.
Coach Rodriguez will continue as the Head Coach of the Boys’ soccer program in the Fall of 2025 but will be giving himself a well deserved break during the Spring season. Under his leadership, Coach Rodriguez took the girls soccer program to their first ever Colorado State Championship game in 2021. Coach Rodriguez has truly elevated this program during his involvement as a coach with an overall record of 46-28-1. The girls soccer team had 5 playoff appearances over 6 seasons while Coach Rodriguez was involved.
The Telluride Athletic Department owes a debt of gratitude to Coach Schuler for her involvement and impact to our boys’ and girls’ soccer program and to Coach Rodriguez for his hard work and dedication to our girls’ soccer program and his continued commitment to the boys’ soccer program.
